The following is a list and brief explanation of the different massage services provided here at Rose Petals:

Deep Tissue Massage- Similar to Swedish Massage, but more pressure is used. This technique is useful for more toxin release.

Neuromuscular Therapy-The use of Static Pressure on specific points to relieve pain.

Tapotement- This Technique, a cupped hand, or the tips of the fingers are used in a rhythmic manner.

Acupressure- Similar to acupuncture, but fingers are used on the same points instead of needles.

Effleurage- Light pressure technique, used to loosen up muscles, to prepare them for deeper tissue massage.

Lymphatic Massage- Light pressure technique, used to encourage the lymph nodes to drain, releasing toxins from tissue.

Chair Massage- Chair massage is designed to give easy access to the head, neck, shoulders and back.

Hot Stone Massage-Heated stones are laid on the muscles, to relax them before or after working the tissue.

Aromatherapy- Fragrant essential oils are used during the massage to promote relaxation and well-being.

Reflexology- Pressure on specific points on the hands and feet to relieve pain.

Swedish Massage- General Massage, developed in Sweden.

Myofascial Release- Light, sustained pressure massage, used to relax constricted muscles and stimulate blood and lymphatic flow.

Trigger Point- Trigger Points are small areas in the muscles that cause pain to radiate to other parts of the body. This technique releases those points to bring relief.

Sports Massage-Encompasses multiple techniques that the therapist deems necessary to help the client.

Geriatric Massage- Technique designed to help the elderly with blood flow, pain relief, and increased range of motion.

Couples Massage- Massage where two people are worked on simultaneously by two therapists.

Four Handed Massage- Two Therapists massage the client simultaneously.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation(PNF)- Technique where stretching is used to increase range of motion, and relieve pain.

Prenatal Massage- Also known as a Pregnancy Massage, this technique is designed to relieve pain for expecting mothers.

Infant Massage-Technique in which the infants muscles are rubbed and lightly stroked.
